The area around my house always smells like baking bread at night because of the bread company down the street.
They work by night in a creepy building, adding a noir edge to the comforting scent of baking loaves.

It used to be a coffee roaster in NB - now it's famous for bread lovers dumpster diving where late night party goers and bums alike root through still fresh day old bread. My personal favorite (from the shop, not the can) is the chocolate croissant. When you walk down Grant your nose won't let you pass, even if you do detect a hint of shadiness.

Oh yeah I totally saw some people peeking into the trash cans last night!
I actually have yet to go in the bakery, ashamedly.
